Aluminum is largely regarded as the most popular non-iron metal worldwide. Aluminum wire mesh is mainly composed of aluminum alloys, and also contains other elements such as copper, magnesium, manganese or silicon. Compared with other metal meshes, aluminum wire mesh is lighter in weight, with a melting point of approximately 1218℉. It is also resistant to corrosion in most normal environments, but will rapidly corrode in alkaline solutions, hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid. At the same time, due to the addition of magnesium, it acts as a hardening agent and has good corrosion resistance in marine environments. Aluminum wire mesh has a relatively low cost and is an ideal material for applications in aerospace, automobiles and electrical conductivity.

The density of aluminium is only 2.7 g/cm³, which is much lower than that of iron (7.86 g/cm³) and copper (8.96 g/cm³). It has a relatively light texture and is easy to handle and install. Meanwhile, after processing, aluminium alloys have high strength and can withstand certain external forces without deforming easily.

Aluminum can quickly form a dense oxide film in the air, which can effectively prevent subsequent oxidation reactions. It has along service life, low maintenance cost, and can maintain stable performance even in humid, acidic, alkaline and other harsh environments.

Aluminum wire mesh can be treated through processes such as anodizing and spraying to achieve different colors and textures. Its surface is hard and resistant to wear, which can meet the requirements of decoration and protection.

Aluminum wire mesh is not flammable and does not bum easily in high-temperature environments. Its safety performance is superior to that of some traditional metal meshes.
